Job Summary

The Access Specialist is responsible for managing system access across EMR platforms, billing systems, and payer portals to support onboarding, operational needs, and access maintenance activities.

This role coordinates access requests, maintains access documentation, troubleshoots access-related issues, and works closely with operational teams to ensure colleagues have the appropriate system access needed to perform their roles. The Access Specialist helps support access readiness, compliance requirements, and ongoing operational efficiency through accurate and timely access management.

Essential Functions and Tasks

  • Provision and maintain access for EMR systems, billing applications, and payer portals.
  • Process new user setups, account modifications, password resets, and terminations.
  • Assign and validate role-based access permissions.
  • Maintain access documentation, audit logs, and tracking records.
  • Utilize ticketing systems to manage and monitor requests through completion.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding activities.
  • Troubleshoot routine access issues and escalate when necessary.
  • Perform access audits and reconciliation activities.
  • Support process improvement initiatives, testing, and system implementations.
  • Partner with operational teams and Access Leads to ensure timely access delivery.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare operations, medical billing, access administration, healthcare support, or related functions preferred.
  • Experience working with EMR systems, payer portals, or healthcare technology platforms preferred.

Work Schedule

  • Full-time position, Monday through Friday.
  • Supports U.S. Eastern Time business operations.
  • Standard schedule aligns with 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Eastern Time.
  • India shift hours will adjust as needed to accommodate U.S. Daylight Saving Time changes.
  • Flexibility may be required to support onboarding activities, access requests, client implementations, and business-critical operational needs.

Compensation

  • Base Compensation will be based on various factors unique to each candidate including geographic location, skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. 
  • This position is also eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus in accordance with company policies.
