Job Summary

  • The Product Owner – Data / Analytics leads the strategy, roadmap, and execution of our analytics product portfolio, with a primary focus on our vSight dashboard development process. This role partners closely with stakeholders, developers, and data engineers to define and deliver data products that drive decision-making and operational efficiency in revenue cycle management.

Essential Functions and Tasks

  • Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Ventra’s analytics and dashboarding products.
  • Lead product discovery with internal stakeholders across the revenue cycle to identify data needs and align product priorities with business goals.
  • Translate complex business problems into clear, scalable product solutions, balancing short-term needs with long-term architecture and data strategy.
  • Partner with Power BI developers and data engineers to deliver robust, intuitive dashboards built on trusted, well-modeled data.
  • Prioritize the product backlog, manage sprint planning, and drive release planning using Agile tools, preferably Azure DevOps.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, user guides, and technical specifications using Confluence.
  • Evaluate product performance, define success metrics, and iterate based on user feedback and data usage patterns.
  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives with business operations, data governance, and IT teams.
  • Support stakeholder communications and occasionally participate in client discussions to represent product vision and roadmap.
  • Champion a data product mindset across the organization, promoting the value of clean, actionable data.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 6–9+ years of experience in data product management, business intelligence, or analytics-focused roles.
  • CSPO Certification
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional product development teams in an Agile environment.
  • Strong background in dashboarding and reporting tools (Power BI preferred), with knowledge of data warehouse environments such as Snowflake.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strategic thinking with the ability to align data product initiatives to business outcomes.
  • Deep understanding of the healthcare revenue cycle and analytics use cases.
  • Expertise in Agile product development and backlog management using Azure DevOps.
  • Strong data literacy; able to converse fluently with data engineers, analysts, and business leaders.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident presenting to senior stakeholders.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and balancing competing priorities.
  • Experience working in a remote team environment, with strong self-management and organization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to read, understand, and apply state/federal laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Ability to communicate with diverse personalities in a tactful, mature, and professional manner.
  • Ability to remain flexible and work within a collaborative and fast paced environment.
  • Basic use of computer, telephone, internet, copier, fax, and scanner.
  • Basic touch 10 key skills.
  • Basic Math skills.
  • Understand and comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel (pivot tables), and database software skills.

Compensation

  • Base Compensation will be based on various factors unique to each candidate including geographic location, skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. 
  • This position is also eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus in accordance with company policies.
