Job Summary

  • The Manager, Quality Assurance is responsible for auditing internal and external processes, specifically for medical claims and anesthesia procedures, on behalf of an organization. Their goal is to ensure that every medical information entered into the system meets a certain set of standards determined and based on the client’s requirements, ensuring consistent quality work is delivered to the client.

Essential Functions and Tasks

  • Review processes and systems on an ongoing basis to comply with the client’s guidelines and to determine where improvements can be made.
  • Devise and review specifications for processes.
  • Oversee all procedures to ensure that there are no deviations from the quality standards set by the company and the client.  
  • Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis by providing employee error percentages for anesthesia procedures encoded in the system.  
  • Assess feedback from clients and managers to check whether requirements are met.
  • Submit detailed reports to appropriate executives.
  • Be on the lookout for opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient procedures.
  • Ensure that Supervisor is diligently monitoring the work performance and discipline of the team.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelors’ Degree or Equivalent.
  • One year of experience in handling patient health information especially demographic entry.

  • In depth understanding of quality control processes.

  • Ability to remain flexible and work within a collaborative and fast paced environment.
  • Basic use of computer, telephone, internet, copier, fax, and scanner.
  • Basic touch 10 key skills.
  • Basic Math skills.   
  • Understand and comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel (pivot tables), and database software skills.
