Job Summary

  • The Associate Director, Account Receivable will oversee the management and optimization of Account Receivables, ensuring, efficient collections, and compliance with healthcare regulations. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive revenue growth and enhance operational efficiencies.
  • Located either at our Chennai, Hyderabad, or Coimbatore Service Delivery Centers (SDC). If not located at the colleague SDC then monthly travel is required. 

Essential Functions and Tasks

Function:

  • Lead and manage the Account Receivable operations.

Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor a team of accounts receivable professionals, including follow up specialists and denials specialists.

Collections Management:

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Accounts Receivables process, reducing bad debt and improving cash flow.

Denial Management:

  • Analyze and address denials to improve reimbursement rates and reduce write-offs.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to billing and collections, including HIPAA and Stark Law.

Reporting:

  • Prepare and analyze reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to accounts receivable performance, such as days in AR and other key metrics.

Account Receivables:

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve revenue cycle performance and reduce days in accounts receivable.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports to senior leadership on revenue cycle performance and trends.
  • Collaborate with other teams to resolve billing issues and enhance the overall client experience.

Training:

  • Collaborate with Training and QA teams to provide training and support to revenue cycle staff, promoting best practices.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Review the process continuously to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Collaboration:

  • Foster strong relationships with other stakeholders to facilitate efficient and effective resolution.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • College graduate in any stream. Preferred from Healthcare related streams.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in core revenue cycle management, in the healthcare sector.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, billing practices, and reimbursement methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret data.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and driving performance improvement.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Proficient in revenue cycle management software, electronic health record (EHR) systems and other technology tools.
  • Understanding of federal, state, and local regulations related to healthcare billing and collections.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
