Job Summary

  • The Director, Revenue Cycle Management (“Director, RCM”) oversees operational processes, employee and administrative functions related to their specific assigned location. Works closely with management to provide leadership to the team responsible for the revenue cycle services for the company. This position ensures client satisfaction by executing the strategic business plan while leading the team that supports Ventra Health’s clients.

Essential Functions and Tasks

  • Oversight and support to ensure appropriate staffing levels and balance of workload for the Accounts Receivables team including Revenue Cycle Managers and Accounts Receivable Specialists.
  • Ensures client performance is within or exceeds Ventra Health standard.
  • Ensures that accurate and up-to-date instructions surrounding the accounts receivables processes are maintained for each client.
  • Leads team of resources that are responsible for the following:
    • Maintaining appropriate days in Accounts Receivable (AR).
    • Maintaining percent of AR over 120 days.
    • Maintaining appropriate percentage with credit balances.
    • Maintaining appropriate percentage of accounts sent to collections.
  • Drives standardization (“One Ventra Health”) of AR processes including proper documentation, distribution and communication.
  • Drives Implementation of follow-up processes with global resources.
  • Communicates with Client Services as needed regarding AR performance and payer issues.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining a positive workplace culture to attract and retain revenue cycle talent in assigned service delivery centers.
  • Drives implementation of follow-up processes with global resources.
  • Champions the “One Ventra Health” model as it relates to changes in the revenue cycle management process.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or Masters and experience in related field preferred.
  • At least (15) years of Payment Posting experience preferred.
  • At least (8) years of supervisory/management/leadership experience preferred.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to oversee multiple priorities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • A minimum of eight years leadership experience in revenue cycle management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills including that ability to motivate employees at all levels. Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to facilitate a congenial and professional working relationship with coworkers, clients, vendors, hospital administrators, senior level management and other parties that do business with our clients.
  • ​Basic knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Physical Demands:

  • Office environment with occasional travel for training and audits.
  • Flexible working hours may be required to meet project deadlines.
