Job Summary

  • The Supervisor, Labor Relations, is responsible for assisting with the proper implementation of all labor disputes of employees based on acceptable company standards, and employee engagements.

Essential Functions and Tasks

  • Assist the Human Resources Manager in providing advice and guidance to management and staff in resolving work-related problems. Establish and maintain trusting relationships with employees throughout the company.
  • Ensures employees’ compliance with company rules and regulations pertinent to the contents of the company’s Code of Discipline.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution. Handles the same in compliance with company policies and Philippine Labor Law; prepares necessary correspondences.
  • Helps HR Team in developing and implementing Employee Relations best practices and programs to enhance organizational culture and communications, performance management systems, succession planning, and employee engagement.
  • Attends and represents the company in NLRC/DOLE conferences
  • Coordinates with corporate legal counsels in the light of administrative cases and facilitates counseling in conjunction with other stakeholders.
  • Investigates and resolves complex or critical employee relations issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Collates and analyzes employee feedback across all levels on a regular basis and revises people programs and/or policies to generate more positive outcomes.
  • Conducts sessions to equip leaders in handling conflicts, employee grievances, and promote supportive workplace culture.
  • Ensure that the company's policies are kept up to date and in line with the company’s best practices.
  • Discuss issues, concerns, and relations matters with HR Manager and/or senior management personnel.
  • Explain and provide advice to leaders and workers about company and governmental rules, regulations, and procedures, and need for compliance.
  • Attends conferences and meetings, as employee-management liaison, to facilitate communication between parties
  • Prepares necessary reports and/or documentation requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee relations cases, ensuring proper documentation and confidentiality.
  • Documents and processes attendance-related notices.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Graduate of BS Psychology, Behavioral Science, Industrial Psychology, Human Resource Management, or any related course.
  • At least 1 to 2 years’ relevant work experience handling discipline and employee engagement.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understands Phil. Labor Law with regards to the discipline process.
  • Proven ability to handle and resolve conflicts, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
  • Proficient in conducting investigations, gathering evidence, and preparing accurate and concise reports.
  • Requires tact and courtesy in dealing with others and has ability to communicate with diverse personalities in a tactful, mature, and professional manner.
  • Ability to remain flexible and work within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel (pivot tables), and database software skills.
