Senior BI Architect / BI Architect

• This position requires quarterly travel to our India Service Delivery Centers.
• The Business Intelligence Architect is responsible for expanding Ventra’s use of data as a strategic enabler of corporate goals and objectives. The architect acts as the primary advocate of data governance and data management best practices to ensure all data is defined and used consistently across all lines of business. This individual also acts as the primary advocate of data modeling methodologies best practices, by strategically reviewing and creating data models for enterprise-level applications and systems.
• They will work collaboratively with both the Emergency Medicine and Anesthesia business areas to understand Ventra’s data and reporting needs.  They will design and implement a Data Warehouse architecture and reporting framework that will support the specific reporting requirements of Ventra Health.
• The Enterprise BI Architect will bring crucial analytics and ad hoc reporting solutions to all lines of business. 
• This person will be the data warehouse and dimensional data mart expert.

• Provides technical and data leadership to the Data & Analytics group, IT, and the enterprise ensuring future and current systems data can be exploited for the benefit of the enterprise.
• Work cross-department to understand how the consumer journey appears within our data.
• Develops the architecture and provides the engineering skills in creating a reusable data platform consisting of a robust data warehousing environment supported by dimensional data marts, accessed via SSRS and Power BI.
• Lead the implementation of Business Intelligence solutions in Azure, leveraging cloud-based technologies to optimize scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Architect and build solutions utilizing Microsoft Data Fabric, ensuring seamless integration and interoperability across the BI landscape.
• Stay abreast of current Business Intelligence technologies such as Snowflake, MS Fabric, ADF and Data Bricks, evaluating their applicability and potential integration within our BI architecture.
• Participates in the development of data centric strategies, solutions, and systems design.
• Identifies, researches, and resolves complex technical problems to enable business capabilities in the areas of development of a data warehouse, creating of data marts, implementation of Business Intelligence tools and to help cultivate a forward-thinking data culture.
• Investigating & analyzing data sources to identify relevant information for inclusion in our data solutions.
• Defines standards for naming, governing, managing, modeling, cleansing, enriching, transforming, moving, storing, searching, and delivering all data within the enterprise.
• Proactively identify and implement process improvements through the design and implementation of policies, procedures, standardized documentation, and analytics infrastructure to enforce industry best practices.
• Explain tasks and processes in a clear and concise manner to be consumed and understood by non-technical business associates.
• Mentor and lead team members in all aspects of Business Intelligence development best practices.

• 10+ years of BI experience. To include experience in business intelligence, ETL processes, data warehousing, data structures, data quality. (at least 3 major implementations).
• 5-7 years of experience in Dimensional Data Modeling methodologies and techniques.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to oversee multiple priorities.

• Advanced knowledge and experience with SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS and Power BI that support an Enterprise Data Warehouse environment.
• Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with the full life cycle of Data warehouse design and development including logical and physical data modeling, mapping data elements from various data sources, and loading Data Warehouse objects including dimensions and fact tables.
• Candidates must have hands-on experience with gathering business requirements, documenting the reporting and analysis specifications, and designing technical architecture.
• Proven ability as a team lead to mentor developers and answer technical questions.
• Strong knowledge and experience with healthcare reporting, Analytics, and Business reporting needs is a must.
• Good communication and client-facing skills
• Ability to be flexible and work under high pressure in a complex environment.
• HealthCare/RCM/Financial systems is a major plus.
• Experience with large Health care EMRs is a plus.
• Understand and comply with company policies and procedures.
