Job Summary

  • We are looking for a meticulous and technically proficient individual to join our team as an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Support QA Specialist. This role focuses on providing exceptional support to ensure the smooth operation of our EDI systems while maintaining high standards of data quality and accuracy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EDI protocols, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering superior customer service.

Essential Functions and Tasks

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners/vendors regarding EDI-related inquiries and issues.
  • Provide timely and effective troubleshooting and resolution for EDI-related problems, including transaction failures, data discrepancies, and system errors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, software development, and business operations, to identify and address root causes of EDI issues.
  • Monitor incoming and outgoing EDI transmissions to identify rejections and errors.
  • Investigate the root causes of EDI rejections and work closely with internal teams and external partners/vendors to resolve issues promptly.
  • Analyze EDI rejection trends and develop strategies to mitigate future errors.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of EDI transactions and error logs to identify patterns and trends and implement proactive solutions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Provide training and guidance to internal users on EDI processes, protocols, and tools.
  • Monitor EDI system performance and escalate critical issues as necessary to ensure minimal disruptions to business operations.
  • Stay current with industry trends and developments in EDI standards, technologies, and best practices.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving overall data integrity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any related field.
  • Proven experience of minimum 4 years in providing support for EDI systems and processes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of ANSI X12, EDIFACT, or other relevant EDI standards.
  • Proficiency in EDI mapping and translation software/tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data and system issues.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
  • Certification in EDI or related field (e.g., Certified EDI Professional) is desirable but not required.
